Why have so many large new hotels being built in bangkok?

There's two reasons for the extensive building of hotels in Thailand's capital, Bangkok:

1. Tourism; Thailand is an attractive tourist destination with a worldly reputation, so there's millions of people visiting the country each year, and because of this large numbers of hotels are needed since the tourist have to have nice accommodation if the country wants to keep and upgrade its touristic reputation.

2. Business; The economy of the country is becoming stronger and stronger, and the country itself has a lot of international business relations, which means that lots of businessmen and people that are employed in the business sector are coming in the country, be it just for short 1-2 nights stays, or for months, there is an increased demand for accommodation and the country is investing heavily in hotels in order to satisfy the demand.
