    During world war II in 1942, the Double V movement first showed up. It is led by African Americans to fight against racism in the US and in the European and Pacific theaters. It demands for equal rights in exchange of the sacrifice that they made in the war.

    The reason why this campaign was started is due to the Jim Crow law in which there is segregated public facilities such as schools, parks, businesses, etc and this worked as a fuel for the moment and later this movement became the frontier for the civil rights movement.
