Media can start nasty little rumors about whats going on in the government causing people to loose faith in the government

The media tells the people what to think. When everyone is thinking the same thing, they yell it out to their political leaders. The political leaders have to do something about it or the people who complained to them about it will not re elect that person.
That is how it works.
