Why might someone believe von Konigshofen's assertion that the Jews were killed for their money?

    One might believe von Konigshofen's assertion about the Jews being killed because of their money because of two reasons:

    1. Relatively big percentage of the Jews had their own business and were financially well situated, and were on a higher financial level on average than the other ethnicities.

    2. Lots of Jews rejected to make their profits from their own businesses available to the national-socialist party for production of weapons and military advancements which angered the authorities which desperately needed any extra money.
