How was shogun live looked like

    It was a male dominated society where men were the leaders that were within the warrior classes such as Samurai and Daymio. The fathers and Grandfathers were the head of the families. Women had little economic independence. Wives were expected to pay a Downey to husbands. Women who were in weathy families has a greater status and could take control of husband's land while they were away fighting. Lower cclass women had suprizingly more freedom and rights than higher class. However, they still had to work to support their family. Children were seen as gifts from the gods, and at age 7 were seperated from their parents to tain into adulthood.
