How did the Gold Rush reshape the demographics of California?

    Answer: The Gold Rush reshaped the demographics of California in many ways. For one, it was the reason a lot of white, middle class families moved to the state. It also was the reason a lot of Asian immigrants, primarily Chinese immigrants, moved to the country. Many Mexican people immigrated as well. The most, though, were white Americans.
