Explain the importance of marbury v. Madison

    The Marbury v. Madison of 1803 is important because it was the first case in which the Supreme Court of the United States declared that it had the power of judicial review. The Constitution says that it is the supreme law of the land. No law may be passed that violates the Constitution.
