    The Catholic Church made a proufound impact in the middle and south America during the colonial era. It was a well known fact that the church brought about development of those region through the mixing of business and religious propagation to the people. The brough about trade among the people.

    Also, the literacy of the populace was increased as a result of their setting up schools where the indigiens where taught on how to read and write inorder to understand them better. Most of the best schools owed by during those times were established by the Catholic church. Others include the training of the local indiginous priests to take over from them in religious propagation as well as bieng instrumental to the stopping of some archaic traditions bieing practiced in such region.
