At the turn of the 20th century Booker T. Washington and W. E. B. DuBois represented two distinct approaches to the problems facing African Americans. What were those approaches? What were the political, legal and economic realities of African American life that Washington and DuBois faced and attempted to deal with.

    The correct answer is that Bookers approach to racism was for them to acceptp, do not fight and just try to do your best to elavate there community. While for DuBois, he did not believed in silence justice he believed that they did not have to comply with segregation and racism, that they had to fight for equality.

    This two men are very important in the African American movements as they were leaders and there different approaches can be seen as well in other leader like Malcom X and Dr. Martin Luther King.
