Mormonism is the religious tradition of Latter Day Saint movement, and believers are usually referred to as Mormons. Joseph Smith is its founder and founded the movement in New York State in 1820s. The teachings of the group, like nature of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit, divine nature of Joseph Smith, teachings about Cosmology, plural marriages, new additions to the Bible through the Book of Mormon, exclusion of Black men into priesthood, sealing ceremonies to allow righteous men to become gods, and polygamy are very conflicting to the societal and religious norms. These practices caused trouble to the fledgling movement wherever they go.
