How does separation of powers keep government from becoming too powerful? it separates the federal government from the state governments. it takes the power of the federal government and divides it among the three branches. it places the power of the government in the hands of the people?

    More flexibility and not just one group of people have power. power is split. The power itself becomes not that strong therefore even if the government itself hs power, there is not much influence
