Why did puritans begin to settle in new england in the early 1600s? To practic etheir religion without persecution?

    Yes. The Puritans were forced to flee England and Europe because they were being persecuted for their religious beliefs, and that they arrived in the Americas. They came to America to practice religious freedom. he King of England gave them a charter to make a settlement along the Massachusetts Bay
