How was Renaissance art different from the art that preceded it?

    Renaissance art was more realistic and lifelike. Their paintings seemed to have depth because they studied perspective.

    This won't be very specific because I am just now learning about the Renaissance, but I'll try.

    The Renaissance art was different from the art that preceded it because the art was more advanced, creative & more improved.
