When did gabriel fallopius discover the fallopian tube?

    In 1951 Gabriele Falloppio published Observationes anatomicae a book which served as a commentary on Vesalius's De humani corporis fabrica (1543) in which he identified and correctly described the uterine ("Fallopian") tubes as looking like small trumpets.
