Florida could add to or modify the laws when it wrote its state constitution, depending on its interpretation of the US Constitution.

Florida would not be held responsible for laws disagreeing with the US Constitution, because they could be justified by the state's interpretation.

    The Florida Supreme Court could interpret federal laws differently, depending on the times. A good example of this was in Florida’s election code where there is a provision where there can other ways to interpret the results of the 2000 elections.
