    Marion clams that her duty is to Helen.

    After Helen’s death, Marion, and her husband Lincoln, took custody of their niece Honoria. Marion believes that Charlie is not a fit father, and that he is the reason why Helen had died. She believes that the cause of Helen’s death was due to the night in which Charlie had locked her outside their home, in the middle of a snowstorm, that, in addition to her already existing health issues.

    Marion believes that she needs to take care for the niece, as Charlie’s drunken habits were not fit to take care of a child on his own.
