    That's an extremely vague question. You can answer that during the 1920's right after the First World War, United States became the world leader in terms of economical and wealth. Even the middle class gained enough to have a more luxurious lifestyle. But again, the 1900's cover a lot of history. Such as after the Second World War, America fell into the Great Depression.
