What did the colonial army invade Canada

The colonial army invaded Canada to capture supplies and and ammunition from the British from the lightly guarded fort at Fort Ticonderoga. The goal was also to gain control of Quebec and to convince the French speaking Canadians to fight on the side of the 13 Colonies against the British.
