    Eli Whitney was a famous inventor, whose main invention was cotton gin. Daniel Boone was one of the first western pioneers who explored the areas across Appalachian. John Marshall was a soldier in Revolutionary War, but is mostly known as the 4th Chief Justice of the United States. Henry Clay was a Secretary of State during John Adams presidency, while James Monroe was American president mostly known for his political doctrine.

    All of the mentioned figures had a large impact during the first days of United States. Monroe as an American president is the most famous figure of them all, because he shaped the foreign policy of the country for a long period of time. Still, all of the other figures have left an important mark in a political life of the States.
