The end of World War 1 led to economic and social changes in the US and society became more free willed durinf the Roaring 20’s. Woman began to cut their hair, become flappers, new inventions were made, cars and jazz music was popular. Prohibition and violence were a rising issues. The wealthy class grew, securing the need for more banks. However, in 1929, the stock market crashed which led into the Great Depression. People scrambled to get their money out of the banks but because of the corrupt economy at the time there was not enough for everyone. People lost everything and many moved into Hoovervilles which was cramped settlement houses. The end of the Great Depression neared around when America entered World War 2 taking the side of Britian, France, and the Soviet Union to defeat Germany, Italy, and Japan after the attack on Pearl Harbor.
