Why was the Interstate Commerce Act passed?

    The Interstate Commerce Act is passed because of the ceaseless demand of public for the regulation of the railroads. The passing of the Act only serve as the government's response to such claims. The demand is caused by unfair used of these railroads by some private entities only.
