    George Washington was the first President of the United States of America and he was a federalist. Virginia tobacco planter and a surveyor who earned his commission from the British became a famous Forerunner for the cause of independence.

    George Washington sent General John Sullivan with his battalion of four thousand soldiers to march towards New York to smash Iroquois which was supposed to be the ally of Britain.

    He ordered for the complete devastation of Iroquois territory. It was a Brutal war in the frontier.
