Which medical innovations did florence nightingale introduce in the nineteenth century

Florence Nightingale was a British nurse who was famous for pioneering the treatment of war wounded during the Crimean War.

Her contribution to Nursing was the use of the biomedical model, based on the medicine practiced by the doctors. She also paid special attention to the hygiene conditions in which patients were treated, as well as to the hygiene of the elements used.

Nightingale laid the groundwork for professional nursing with the creation in 1860 of her nursing school at St. Thomas Hospital in London, the world's first secular nursing school, now part of King's College London. The Nightingale Pledge made by the new nurses was named in her honor, and International Nursing Day is celebrated worldwide on her birthday.
