The states in which more than 90 percent of the population had health insurance during those three years were: Connecticut, Hawaii, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Wisconsin.

With the exception of Hawaii, these states with higher percent of health insurance coverage are Northern states, mainly from the Midwest (Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota and Wisconsin) and the North-East of the USA (Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island)
