Who were richard the lion-heart and saladin? Opposing leaders in the crusades who reached a settlement about control of the holy land

    Essentially Saladin was the Muslim military leader. Richard I (Lion-Heart) was the King of England at the time of the Crusades. The Turks who were led by Saladin kept attacking Britain. Richard I got tired of it and attacked back causing the Crusades.
