How where the mauryan and Gupta empires similar?

    Answer: The correct answer is : Both empires were an absolute monarchy. The social structures were very similar, they had a caste system where they classified civilians into 5 main classes, from greater to lesser power they were: brahmin, kshatriya, vaisya, sudra and untouchables. Both empires had weak rulers who could not sustain a large empire.
