    I'm not sure exactly, but Habeas Corpus is still a right today. Since it's the right to be brought before a courtroom before being declared guilty, it doesn't or didn't effect government as much as the citizens themselves.

    Habeas Corpus is a writ allowing those who are arrested to be brought before a judge. It is a legal right for everyone.
