    Commaned economy since 1929 to 1985 (so by most time of it's existence). Although during Bolshevik Russia till 1922 the system was war communism and between 1922-29 indtroduction of NEP created a mixed economy with market eements. Perestroika reforms of Gorbachev led to SOviet economy more into the market economy
