    There was a movement in the 1960's and 1970's to give more equality to women. It was called the Second Feminist Movement because their had been another one earlier in the 20th century where women advocated for the right to vote. ERA was passed meaning the Equal Rights Amendment which aimed to end sexual discrimination in the workplace and close the wage gap. ERA was eventually nullified in the '80's.

    Yes, but it was a journey that started in the 20's giving women the right to vote
