The Supreme Court is the highest court in the United States. It has limited jurisdiction to decide on a case. It has the right to preside over specific cases. It is also an appeals court for cases involving the constitutional law. The Supreme court can hold a limited review on cases referred up from a lower court. Some of the original cases the supreme court can hear are a crime that takes place under a violation of federal law, international trade disputes, disputes where the United States is involved, and disputes where the individuals involved live in different states.
