How do nations obtain goods and services for which they lack adequate resources?

    Trade allows nations to obtain goods and services they lack. Nations trade what they have lots of for things they don't have. For example, Mexico has lots of fruits and vegetables. They export these things to countries like the United States that needs an enormous amount of fruits and vegetables to supply their population.
