How does an efficient court system make people more likely to engage in commerce

Democratic forms of state are based on individual freedoms, solid governments and law enforcement.

People are allowed to hold private property and actually able to legally protect it, if there is an efficient court system. This is the first step to enable entrepeneurship and the proliferation of businesses and commerce.
