    Even though knights followed a code of chivalry, they sometimes committed crimes is detail that supports the idea that people who broke the law were punished harshly, because there was no distinction if someone did the crime ther would be diference in punishment but this times were times of development of natural law so every person was seen as human person with dignity contrary for exemple to Roman Empire
