The Anatolian Peninsula, also known as Asia Minor, is home to the country of Turkey. It is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea, the Black Sea, and the Aegean Sea. One of Turkey's largest lakes, Lake Tuz, is also located on the peninsula. Two mountain ranges encircle the Anatolian Plateau - the Taurus and the Pontic Mountains. The highest peak is Mount Ararat.
