How did the disagreements between hawks and doves reflect different views about war and world politics?

    This was a symbol used by countries to signify their position in the war.

    People who chose dove wanted peace. Choosing hawk, on the other hand, means they agree on war. The differences in beliefs created polarization among the people. The dove and hawk believed had a different perspective on spending military budget.
