"An Ordinance and Constitution of the Treasurer Council, and Company in England, for a Council of State and General Assembly" was a resolution passed by the Virginia Company of London.

Explanation:

"An Ordinance and Constitution of the Treasurer Council, and Company in England, for a Council of State and General Assembly" was a resolution passed by the Virginia Company of London on uly 24, 1621. Through this resolution, the Virginia Company of London established that there would be two houses of legislature in the Virginia's General Assembly.

It proposed for a bicameral legislature where the lower house would comprise of the House of Burgesses and the upper house would comprise of a governor and a council. This ordinance was proposed to bring efficiency and transparency in the justice system. It also aimed at bringing all grievances directly to the governor and the council so that the government could assist the people directly.
