Is GDP a good measure of the prosperity of the average person? Yes, if the GDP is growing, the people are more prosperous. Yes, a large GDP is always the best sign of prosperity. No, GDP only measures how much money is in the economy. No, GDP does not consider the size of the population.

    The GDP is NOT a good measure of the prosperity of the average person because the GDP does not consider the size of the population when calculated on a annual basis.
