    Maus is a graphic novel completed in 1991 written by the American cartoonist Art Spiegelman. The events of the holocaust are told from the perspective of Speigelman's father, Vladek. Art Spiegelman interviews his father, who is a Polish Jew that survived the Holocaust. During these interviews, Spiegelman gathered information about his father's experiences as a prisoner of the Nazis in the concentration camps during World War II.
