What did the 3/5th's Compromise decide about the slave population?

    Recall that in the "Great Compromise," it was determined that representation in the House of Representatives would be based on the population of each state ... This division over slavery led to the "3/5 Compromise." Of the 55 Convention delegates, about 25 (almost half!) owned slaves.
