The Romans built many roads throughout their empire so the army could travel quickly. These roads were also used by traders. People traded within the empire as well as with other cultures outside the empire. The Romans were responsible for building roads in Europe and through parts of Africa and Asia.     A. Most likely the answer. Culture from all the republics involved in the the Silk Road spread.

    B. It is hard to know for certain who were the first Europeans in China.

    C. While disease did become rampant in the Roman Empire due to trade. The fall of the empire had the most to do with it's own internal struggles for power and Germanic invaders.

    D. Never heard this being mentioned
