The inquisitor ion was like an elite police force, they had many camps set up for labor, and even some for execution. They were the group that almost governed the the whole city. There was only one person more powerful then them, the ruler. The council of Trent was one of the Roman Catholic Church's most important ecumenical councils. Prompted by the Protestant Reformation, it has been described as the embodiment of the Counter-Reformation.
