The government of Indian villages was that of a sort of democracy. During council meetings around the fire. The older men of the village sat up front, the warriors and husbands sat behind them, and the women and children sat in the back of these gatherings. The men (both young and old) give their opinions. It was very very orderly in the fact that when someone spoke you were not aloud to interrupt until he was done speaking. Even after speaking a full two minutes were silent that if the person who finished speaking could say something in addition to what they said earlier. The women, who were with the children, were responsible for remembering of what said and decided, since they had writing.
