How did north carolina's geographic features affect the movement of goods and people?

    The mountain ranges and the lack of navigable ports restricted the movement of goods and people. The coast known as the Graveyard of the Atlantic was dangerous and only have a few adequate harbors for boats. The mountains hinder the westward exploration and isolated the area from lands to the west.
