The Gross Domestic Product of India in 2009 was $1,236,000,000,000 ($1.236 trillion). How much in dollars was produced per person?

    India's population in 2009 was 1.155 billion. In order to measure the GDP in dollar produced per person, the total GDP of the country needs to be divided by the total population. Here, total GDP of India is $1.236 trillion Hence GDP per person in dollars is 1.236/1.155 = $1070.
