European colonialism and colonization were known as the practice of acquiring full or partial political control over the societies and territories through the creation of a colony, occupying it with settlers and utilizing it economically.

The reason why the European could colonize the no - european regions were basically because they didn't have an advanced military equipment and there wasn't a leader that could keep united the various groups. Finally they were debilitated by trade restrictions and embargo.

European powers were able to colonize non-European regions for three major reasons (weaknesses):

    1. Non-Europeans did not have military equipment as advanced as Europeans did.

    2. Trade restrictions and blockades had already debilitated these non-Europeans regions.

    3. Non-Europeans lacked unity. They were not as united as Europeans were.
