The economic success of after ww1 were founded on a very fragile string. the industrialists were benefiting, while the workers conditions remained poor. This disparity resulted to a lot of goods chasing less money, which altogether led to a crash of the economy. the depression afected workers who lost their pension, and industrialists who made losses, and the banking sector.
