    They captured teenage themes--Chuck Berry and Little Richard sung upbeat songs focused on consumerism, cars, dances, and teenage life in general.

    Early rock n' roll was new and different representing a new take on music. The upbeat rhythm allowed for teenagers to dance and enjoy their youth. The songs commented on car culture, dating, and school which teenagers could connect to.
