Which statement best describes the US welfare system in 1930?.

    It was almost non-existent. If you were poor there was no way for you to come out of poverty since employment was bad and people who weren't working in offices or were not lawyers or doctors had to do hard physical labor. When the investments ruined the economy and caused the great depression, things became even worse and people started dying out of poverty since they didn't even have money for food.
