In what sense can it be said that the 20th century represents a new period in world civilizations?

    The 20th century represented a new period in world civilization because it came with new technologies, new political forms, and a change in cultural secularization. Also there was a change in political boundaries and there was a massive comunication between international countries by means of extensive trades, international alliances and cultural exchange.
