    Women began demanding and appealing for equal rights as mentioned in the constitutional mandate at Seneca Falls convention which was the first meeting held in New York. Due to lack of persuasive promotional activity and hype, 300 men in the nearby areas appeared in the convention.

    Many women abolitionists also participated in order to claim their rights for enfranchisement. Stanton and Fredrick Douglass rendered passionate speeches for women's equal rights.

    Declaration of sentiments was the first proposal in which eleven statements which highlighted the accusations and grumbles of women. As a result, famous publications and editorials voiced the opinion of the women suffrage movement.
